Volunteer Opportunity
Location: Taylor, AZ Posted by: FAMILY SOLUTIONS FOUNDATION On-Site Substance Abuse Ministry
Start: 12/17/2008
End: 12/31/2013
Opportunity Description: PLEASE HELP
The county in which we live was recently listed as having the worst meth problem in the entire nation. Heroin is now out of control as well. We decided to do something about it. So we formed "Family Solutions Foundation". We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
We are bringing a 1 year, faith based, live-in Treatment program to the White Mountains of Arizona. We are asking people to please help us get this started. We have an 80 bed facility in place, and many volunteers are waiting to start. The only thing holding us up is that we don't yet have enough funding to open the doors. We are trying to raise at least $20,000.00 by April 1, 2009. This would allow us to provide the dorms with bunk beds and everything else we need to open. Wee would ultimately like to purchase the property, but as for now we are starting with a lease option. We are in DESPERATE need of this facility. As soon as we can raise these funds, we can open. Hopefully, before April 1, 2009.
We are asking people across America to reach out and help us with fundraising events on our behalf. We are also asking everyone who reads this to PLEASE donate any amount they can. Please visit our website. We explain how big an impact as little as $12.00 per year could have on our program. If thousands of people will even donate as little as $1.00 per month it would make a unbelievable difference. Every dollar YOU can raise or donate will make a difference. Please read about our program at www.familysolutionsfoundation.org
Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Tasks for Volunteers: PLEASE HOLD FUNDRAISING EVENTS ON OUR BEHALF, IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS AMERICA. Read more...
